Louise Dailey established Jubilee in Darien, Connecticut in 1982, after having been associated with two other firms for four prior years. When Lou and her husband, Bob, moved to Florida in 1996, she relocated the office to Osprey. During this same time period, Chick Trayford opened a second office in Newtown, Connecticut. In October of 2005 he moved his office to Delware.
We are both active members of the Charter Yacht Brokers Association (CYBA) and have cruised, raced, and chartered yachts for many years. Our first Virgin Island charters were in 1972 and 1973, and we’ve only missed chartering a handful of years between then and now. The Caribbean experience has had a profound influence on our lives…from Puerto Rico to Venezuela!
We’ve also cruised the east coast of America, the Chesapeake, the southern coast of California, the Sea of Cortez, the Great Lakes, the Bahamas, plus the coasts and islands of France, Sardinia, Greece, Turkey, and Yugoslavia. Even the French canal system with their many crewed barges hasn’t been missed.
